Mexico City, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Guadalajara are a few of the main hotspots to travel in Mexico.
Cinco de Mayo, May 5th, is celebrated to commemorate the Mexican Armey's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. The day is mainly celebrated in parts of Mexico and the United States, where there is a great population of Mexican descents.
Although primarily observed in the state of Puebla, in Mexico, festive events take place with recreation of the historical event and military parades. In the US, Cinco de Mayo parties are held to celebrate the Mexican heritage and culture, with food, music, and dancing.
If you're planning to throw a Cinco de Mayo party or perhaps go to one, be sure not only to enjoy all of the entertainment food, but also the decorations: maracas, pinatas, papel picado colorful paper banners, the Mexican flag, and a few bottles of tequilla.
