With a land area that is one third mountainous, a 300 mile long Black Sea coast, and 10 nature parks, a visit to Bulgaria involves a lot of outside enjoyment. With hiking opportunities at every corner and undiscovered coves along the coastline, you are sure to find at least one activity to enjoy.
Most travelers to Bulgaria visit the capital, Sofia, and head there for relaxation in Sofia City Garden, or culture at the Archaeological Museum. It is also possible to take a day trip from there to Rila Monastery, one of Bulgaria’s most famous sites.
