Here are three of the best places to visit when on a trip to Bangkok:
The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace holds great historical and spiritual significance - this is the country's most sacred site. The palace complex is a fine example of Thai craftsmanship: it features impressive architecture and intricate details. The palace is home to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
Wat Pho
Wat Pho or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha is one of the largest temple complexes in Bangkok and houses a giant reclining Buddha covered in gold leaf. As an added bonus, this is one of the best places in the country to get a traditional Thai massage.
Khao San Road
The infamous Khao San Road is a busy bar street, where backpackers slurp drinks by the bucket, street vendors sell fried scorpion on a stick, and the party never dies out. You might love it; you might hate it - but you should witness this spectacle at least once.
