When searching for flights, we also show search results of two one-way tickets combined into a round trip. This is commonly known as Combined One Way, or a COW ticket. We’ll explain how this works and what the benefits are for you as a traveller.

What is COW?
Of course, we don’t mean an actual 'cow.' COW stands for Combined One Ways. This means that when searching for flights on our website, you’ll also see round-trip tickets made up of two one-way flights. Usually, you’ll fly with two different airlines, but it’s also possible to see two one-way tickets from the same airline. In the search results, we combine affordable one-way tickets into a round-trip ticket for you.
Why COW?
Buying a COW ticket can be a real game-changer! Imagine finding a ticket with a great price and convenient departure time. Unfortunately, the return ticket from the same airline is not ideal. It might be much more expensive or have an inconvenient departure time for your trip. By choosing a different airline with other prices and flight times, we can create the ultimate ticket for your vacation.
What should I keep in mind with a COW ticket?
When you buy a Combined One Way ticket, you’ll usually fly with two different airlines. The main thing to note is that these airlines each have their own ticket conditions, baggage policies, and onboard services. Check carefully what is included in your ticket and whether you need to purchase checked baggage for either your outbound or your return flight. During the booking process, you can add checked baggage for the flight where it is not included.
The onboard services offered may also vary. For instance, low-cost airlines sometimes don’t include meals during the flight or provide an entertainment system. These details are indicated in the search results.
How do I book a COW ticket?
On our website, search as you normally would: enter your departure and destination locations, choose your travel dates, and indicate the number of travelers. We’ll then show you the results for your search, including COW flights automatically. Booking a COW ticket works exactly the same as booking a 'normal' round-trip ticket.
Keep in mind, though, that you’ll receive one confirmation email but two e-tickets: one for each flight! You’ll also get two different online check-in numbers to check in for your outbound and return flights. This is done with the airline you’re flying with, so you’ll need to check in twice, once with each airline. Additionally, canceling or changing flights works a bit differently, as it’s done per flight. If you want to change or cancel your entire trip, you’ll need to do so twice.
