Which is your favourite gay pride festival? London? Amsterdam? Or maybe the largest in the world, Sao Paulo?
1. Amsterdam, 29 July - 6 August 2017
There is nothing like the atmosphere in Amsterdam when it’s Pride week. This open and tolerant city is the perfect place in Europe to celebrate Pride and party the week away. Whenever there is a festival in Amsterdam, it always revolves around the water, and Amsterdam Pride is no exception. Sit by the Canal and watch the Parade go by on boats on Saturday 5th August.
2. Sao Paulo, Sunday 18th June 2017
The biggest Pride celebrations in the world are held in Sao Paulo. Considered by many as the best Pride Festival ever, the Brazilians certainly know how to party. Think colour, confetti, music and excitement as this city embraces Pride and dance the night away.
3. London, 24th June - 9th July 2017
With free performances at Trafalgar Square, and events across the city, Pride in London is growing with 1 million people joining in in 2016. Watch the Parade on Saturday 9th July between Oxford Circus and Whitehall, and spend the day at one of the many main stages at Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square or Soho.
4. New York, Sunday 25th June 2017
Not a city to shy away from diversity, New York has one of the most exuberant Pride festivals with over 350 marching contingents in the float. The March will even be broadcast live on TV for the first time in 2017! Check out comedy shows, cinema nights and various parties and festivals across the city.
5. Sydney, March 2018
