Adorable Animals You Didn’t Know You Could Visit
When we think of adorable animals we usually think of our dogs or cats but there are so many other animals around the world! From adorable bunnies to alpacas there are so many animals that will make you go ‘aww’. Here is a list of 6 adorable animals around the world:
1) Quokka - Rottnest Island, Australia
The Quokka is an animal that not many people know about. They look like chipmunks but are actually part of a family called the macropod family. Similar to kangaroos, they have small little pouches. These little guys are herbivores and you can find them happily munching on a leaf all over the Rottenest Island in Western Australia.
2) Bunny - Chiang Mai, Thailand
In Chiang Mai, you can find alot of different cafes from coffee shops to milk shops but what about a Bunny Cafe? Lucky Bunny Cafe is the first bunny cafe to open in Thailand. It combines these fuzzy animals with your favorite cafe drinks. Sip a cup of coffee while petting these adorable bunnies!
3) Alpacas - Cusco, Peru
Many people get confused when they see an alpaca because they are very similar to llamas. The way you can tell the difference is that alpacas have straighter ear-shapes compared to a llama and are generally smaller sized with fleece. Alpacas can be found in many part of the world but they originally come from the mountains of Cusco in Peru. Head to Machu Picchu to find alpacas grazing the land.
4) Panda - Chengdu, China
Panadas in China are especially known to be found in the research bases of Chengdu. You are able to take a tour of the research bases where you can interact with these cute panda bears. There you can see many different types of pandas at various ages and eating -- you guessed it! Bamboo.
5) Hedgehogs - London, United Kingdom
Hedgehogs are on the rise of popularity and you can spot them in Central London! These little guys are adorable but be careful because they do have a spikey exterior that can potentially be dangerous. Hedgehogs can be found roaming around at Regent’s Park. However, they are nocturnal animals so it can be a little tricky to spot them during the day.
6) Ezo Momonga - Hokkaido, Japan
In Japan, ‘ezo’ is another name for Hokkaido and ‘momonoga’ means flying squirrel. Therefore, Ezo Momonga is a type of flying squirrel that can only be found in Hokkaido, Japan. Due to their small and round size, these are adorable squirrels are also known as dwarf squirrels and you can catch them in the trees munching on any leaves, seeds, or berries.
