Tarom makes its hub at Bucharest's Henri Coanda International Airport, formerly Optopeni (OTP). The airport was renamed in 2004 to honor Romanian aviation pioneer Henri Marie Coanda who is credited with inventing the aircraft jet engine. The airline offers a handful of regional European flights out of the Romanian cities of Cluj-Napoca and Sibiu.
