Swiss International Air Lines is the flag carrier of Switzerland. Established in 2002 after the collapse of Swissair, SWISS is a subsidiary of Lufthansa Group and a proud member of the Star Alliance group. Headquartered in Basel, SWISS operates primarily from Zurich Airport (ZRH). It also has a hub at the Geneva Airport (GVA).
SWISS has a fleet of 89 aircraft which flies to more than 100 destinations across the globe. Most of the aircraft were ordered from Airbus, though it also has some 10 Boeing 777-300ER. The airline flies some 18 million passengers yearly. Between January and December 2018, SWISS made 145,002 flights around the world.
SWISS has codeshare agreements with Air India, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Brussels Airlines, United Airlines, and a dozen others from around the world. It also operates a number of subsidiaries including Swiss WorldCargo, SWISSTours, and Swiss Aviation Training.
