LATAM Travel Experience

Personal screens are available on Airbus 350, Boeing 767, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787 aircraft. The seats onboard LATAM flights recline, have adjustable headrests, and many have power outlets with USB input options. LATAM inflight entertainment is called LATAM Play and includes the latest TV shows, movies, music, kids channels and daily news. Long-haul flights offer meal service with a range of hot meals, snacks, beverages, and special meal options available for those with different dietary requirements. There are three main LATAM cabin classes: Premium Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class. There are numerous LATAM or LATAM-associated lounges across the world, to which access can be purchased online.

LATAM Check-in & Baggage

Check in is available between 48 hours and 75 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure. Check in online via mobile or computer device and save yourself time at the airport waiting in line! It is recommended passengers arrive to the airport 2 to 3 hours prior to departure.

Allowed Luggage per Cabin Class

Premium Business Class

LATAM Premium Business Class passengers with any fare ticket type can check 3 pieces of luggage each weighing up to 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Those in Premium Business Class are allowed 16 kg/ 35 lbs of carry-on luggage for their flight, as well as 1 personal item such as a handbag.

Premium Economy Class

Those in Premium Economy Class with a Plus fare ticket can check 1 piece of luggage weighing up to 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Top fare ticket holders can take 2 pieces of checked luggage each weighing up to 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Premium Economy Class also allows passengers to carry-on 16 kg/ 35 lbs of luggage and 1 personal item such as a handbag.

Economy Class

Economy Class passengers with a Basic fare type have no checked baggage allowance on LATAM flights. Those with Plus Economy fare type tickets allow 1 piece of checked luggage weighing up to 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Top Economy fare ticket-holders can take 2 pieces of checked luggage each weighing up to 23 kg/ 50 lbs. All Economy Class Passengers can bring 1 carry-on bag weighing no more than 8 kg/ 17 lbs. Passengers are additionally allowed 1 personal item such as a handbag.

Allowed Luggage Size Dimensions

Checked luggage must not have combined dimensions (length + height + width) greater than 158 cm/ 62.2 in. Carry-on luggage must not exceed the dimensions x. Passengers' personal item should be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you and should fit within the dimensions of 45 x 35 x 20 cm/ 18 x 14 x 8 in.

Additional Information

Please note that passengers traveling to or from Brazil cannot travel with carry-on luggage exceeding 10 kg/ 22 lbs in any cabin class. Excess or oversized baggage such as sporting equipment or musical instruments may incur a fee, although musical instruments within the weight allowance of 45 kg/ 99 lbs and dimensions of 41 x 42 x 90 cm/ 16 x 16.5 x 35 in. It is best to check your luggage fits the requirements on LATAM's website.
