Known for luxury and comfort, a multilingual international staff, and a young technologically advanced fleet, Emirates is a world-leading airline. As a state-owned airline based in Dubai, Emirates is the largest airline in the Middle East and the fourth largest in the world in terms of passenger miles. The airline is rated five stars by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) and four stars by the prestigious global air travel guide Skytrax, who also ranked it 5th globally in the Skytrax passenger choice awards. The Emirates luxury travel experience is a cornerstone of the airlines' reputation. Its ICE (Information, Communication, Entertainment) system has been recognized as one of the best in the world by APEX, Skytrax, and other award associations. Passengers can choose from 2,500 music and video channels with over 600 movies on demand. Stay connected with two hours of free messaging on popular online messaging apps or 20MB of free WiFi data.
Emirates offers Economy, Business and First-Class cabins. Emirates Economy boasts superior comfort with an above-average seat pitch of 32-34 inches. Business travelers can stretch out in lie-flat seating and stay productive with laptop charging portals. First-class offers additional privacy with individual suites, a five-star menu, and showers. All Emirates passengers are treated to complimentary award-winning meals with regionally inspired cuisine based on destination.
Emirates hosts 33 airport lounges in 32 cities, free for Skywards Platinum and Gold members, and first and business class passengers. Other passengers can also enjoy the fresh food, full bar, showers and relaxation areas of the Dubai lounges for a fee.

Online check-in opens 48 before the scheduled time of departure and closes 90 minutes prior to departure. Emirates requires passengers with checked baggage to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure, and for those without checked baggage at least 60 minutes before.
Baggage allowances vary depending on cabin class and Skyward membership status. Overweight and extra baggage can be booked for a fee or using Skyward miles. Booking baggage in advance is recommended, saving you time and money at the airport.

Oversized baggage can be booked for a fee, though may not exceed the maximum dimension of 118 inches / 300 cm, or it will need to be sent as cargo or freight. Sports equipment that does not exceed the maximum dimension of 118 inches / 300 cm may be checked as part of your normal baggage allowance. Musical instruments are subject to normal baggage restrictions and may be checked or transported on a paid-for cabin seat.
Wheelchairs, crutches and other special assistance items may be checked without extra cost and guide dogs may travel free of charge in kennels in the hold.
If you traveling with an infant, Emirates offers extra baggage allowances free of charge including one extra checked bag, one extra 5 kg cabin bag, and a collapsible stroller that may be stowed in the cabin if space permits. Infants under two may share a seat with an adult and baby bassinets are available when pre-booked.
