Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd is the flag-carrier of Hong Kong where its main hub and headquarters are located. Founded in 1946, today it is owned mainly by Swire Pacific and Air China and serves over 190 destinations in 60 countries. Its fleet comprises Airbus A330 and A350 as well as Boeing 747 and777 aircraft. Carrying around 30 million passengers a year, its most popular routes are New York to Vancouver and Hong Kong to San Francisco. Cathay Pacific was a founding member of the Oneworld Alliance and flies with a livery of a white and blue fuselage and a white brush stroke on the tail. The airline has an excellent safety record.
Choose from four cabin classes: Economy, Premium Economy, Business and, on selected flights, First Class. The features of each class vary according to the aircraft but all classes enjoy comfortable seating and an extensive programme of in-flight entertainment. Food and drink are available in all classes.
First Class
First Class cabins offer you plenty of comfort and space. All seats have a massage function, personal storage, guest seating and adjustable HD TVs. At night, seats convert into comfortable lie-down beds. First Class seats are also mini-offices with power outlets, USB ports and, on some routes, complimentary WiFi.
Business Class
Treat yourself to a little extra comfort in Business Class. Long=haul seats have plenty of storage space, adjustable personal TVs and convert into full lie-down beds. On regional flights, seats have an electrical recline and leg rest.
Premium Economy Class
Premium Economy Class sits between Economy and Business Class with a generous seat size, pitch and recline. Other features include a large table, footrest, personal TV, power outlet and personal storage space.
Economy Class
In Economy Class, enjoy the comfort of a 6-inch recline, a generous 32" (81cm) pitch, storage space and personal TVs.
Lounge
Enjoy the privacy, tranquillity and comfort of Cathay Pacific Lounges at selected airports including London Heathrow International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport. You'll find a tasty selection of complimentary food and both soft and alcoholic drinks. Other features include WiFi, work stations, luggage storage, entertainment, toilets and showers. Cathay Pacific lounges are fully accessible to passengers with limited mobility.

Booking checking in flights either online or at self-service kiosks at the airport is a seamless experience with Cathay Pacific especially if you are a Marco Polo member. Boarding passes can be printed or downloaded to smartphones. Save time at the airport by using the self-service baggage drop.
Online check-in can be done from 48-hours before your flight right up to 90-minutes before departure. Depending on the airport, you need to be at the boarding gate between 45 and 75 minutes before departure.
First Class
First Class Cathay Pacific passengers enjoy a generous luggage allowance on most flights of three pieces weighing up to 50 kg (110 lbs) in total. For American flights, you can put two suitcases in the hold, each weighing 32 kg (70 lbs). The carry-on allowance is one bag with an upper weight of 15 kg (33 lbs).
Business Class
Business Class allows two checked-in pieces with a combined weight of up to 40 kg (88 lbs) on most flights while on American flights, two suitcases each weighing up to 32 kg (70 lbs) are permitted. On flights from Hong Kong to New Zealand, you can check in three suitcases each weighing up to 23 kgs (50 lbs). One piece of hand luggage with a weight of up to 10 kg (22 lbs) is allowed.
Premium Economy
For most flights, two pieces of luggage with a total weight of 35 kg (77 lbs) can go in the hold. On flights to and from America, two pieces each weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs) is allowed while on routes from Hong Kong to New Zealand, two pieces each with a weight of up to 25 kg (55 lbs) is permitted. One piece of hand luggage weighing up to 7 kg (15 lbs) is permitted.
Economy Class
On most flights in Economy Class, you are allowed two pieces of luggage with a combined weight of 30 kg (66 lbs). On American flights, you can check-in two pieces each weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs) while on flights from Hong Kong to New Zealand, one piece of luggage weighing 23 kg (50 lbs) is permitted. You can carry onboard one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 7 kg (15 lbs).
Size restrictions for luggage for all flights and classes are 23 cm x 36 cm x 56 cm.
