Fly with Air Canada

Air Canada is Canada's flag carrier and largest airline by passengers carried, as well as fleet size. As a founding member of the Star Alliance, it provides flight services for passengers and cargo to more than 200 destinations across the globe.

Air Canada is headquartered in Montreal, Canada and has its largest hub at the Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ). In addition, it has hubs at Calgary International Airport (YYC), Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), and Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

Established by the government as Trans-Canada Air Lines in 1937, the airline was reorganized as Air Canada in 1965 before a full privatization in 1989. Including its subsidiaries such as Air Canada Cargo, Air Canada Express, Air Canada Jetz, Air Canada Vacations, and other regional partners, Air Canada operates more than 400 aircraft like the Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 777-200LR, Airbus A330-300, and Airbus A321-200.

The airline operates 1,613 flights daily. Some of its most popular routes are Los Angeles - Athens (LAX-ATH), Chicago - Athens (ORD-ATH), Los Angeles - Paris (LAX-CDG), Portland - Taipei (PDX-TPE), Seattle - Taipei (SEA-TPE), and New York - Narita, Tokyo (LGA-NRT). In 2019, Canada's flag carrier carried more than 51 million passengers to various destinations around the world.

Air Canada has a frequent flyer program called Aeroplan. Frequent flyers can use accumulated miles to book a flight on Air Canada or any Star Alliance member. The accumulated miles can also be donated to others or used to enjoy perks on-board.

Air Canada's airport lounges make for a seamless transit between flights. For instance, passengers don't have to change terminals in between flights. There is also a short transit time since North America receives a lot of aircraft making it easy to catch a flight without much delay.
