Established in 1923, Russia's flag-carrier airline Aeroflot is one of the world's oldest airlines. Aeroflot is owned by the Russian government as well as private corporations and offers numerous domestic and international flights from its hub in Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, known locally as Sheremetyevo Alexander S. Pushkin International Airport.
Aeroflot offers passengers flights to 146 destinations. Some of the airline's most popular routes are to and from cities in North America including New York and Los Angeles and cities in Russia including Moscow, St. Petersburg and Minsk. On long-haul flights, there is an entertainment system available on Aeroflot aircraft, including movies, music, and content for children. Aeroflot also offers meals including breakfast, lunch, and snacks depending on the flight duration, and special meal requests are possible when booking flights. WiFi can be purchased onboard most of Aeroflot's aircraft.
There are three cabin classes aboard Aeroflot flights: Economy, Comfort, and Business Class. Aeroflot has lounges available for Business Class, Aeroflot Bonus cardholders, or holders of the Elite Plus card of a SkyTeam Alliance member airline. There are Aeroflot lounges in Sochi, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Galaktika, Classic, Zvezdny, and Rublev.

Check-in is possible online from a computer or mobile device between 24 hours and 45 minutes before flight departure. Boarding gates close 20 minutes before departure, and it is recommended passengers arrive 1 hour before scheduled departure for domestic flights and 2 hours before scheduled departure for international flights.
Business Class
Checked luggage allowance for Flex and Classic fare passengers is 2 pieces, each no more than 32 kg/ 70 lbs. Base fare passengers can take 1 piece, weighing no more than 32 kg/ 70 lbs. Business Class passengers can also take 1 piece of carry-on luggage weighing no more than 15 kg/ 33 lbs.
Comfort Class
Flex and Classic fare passengers can take 2 pieces of checked luggage, each no more than 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Base fare passengers can take 1 piece, no more than 23 kg/ 50 lbs. All Comfort Class passengers can take 1 piece of carry-on luggage, no more than 10 kg/ 22 lbs.
Economy Class
Flex fare passengers can take 2 pieces of checked luggage, each no more than 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Classic, Saver, and Promo fare passengers can take 1 piece, no more than 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Lite fare passengers have no free checked luggage allowance. All Economy Class passengers can take 1 piece of carry-on luggage no more than 10 kg/ 22 lbs.
For checked luggage, the sum of all luggage dimensions must not exceed 158 cm/ 62 in. For carry-on luggage, the dimensions must not exceed 55 x 40 x 25 cm/ 21 x 15 x 9 in.

Oversized or excess baggage such as sporting equipment may be allowed onboard under allowed baggage or may be charged per extra piece. Specifications are on Aeroflot's website. Children aged 2 to 12 have luggage allowance as per adults in each cabin class and fare type. Infants under 2 without their own seat are allowed x 1 piece (no more than 10 kg/ 22 lbs). Children aged 0 to 5 must fly with a parent or adult passenger, while those aged 5 to 12 can travel with parents, adult passengers, or a member of staff as an unaccompanied minor. Infants traveling with families holding Lite fare tickets cannot have extra luggage. Aeroflot Bonus Program members, as well as members of the Elite and Elite Plus SkyTeam programs, have special baggage allowance. On all flights, Aeroflot Bonus Platinum members are allowed x 2 pieces of luggage, while Gold, Silver, and Elite members are allowed x 1 piece of luggage.
