The Rajpath, the boulevard that runs from the The Presidential Residence, (Rashtrapati Bhavanis) to the national stadium, is a fine example of the British architecture of the time and a stark difference from the old part of the city. This avenue is where the Republic Day parade takes place each year on the 26th January. This ceremonial avenue also passes by Connaught Place and India Gate.
