Located on the southern border, Toronto doesn't get as cold as its truly arctic northern regions, but it can still get very cold in the winter, with temperatures regularly reaching well below 0°C. This shouldn't put people off though, the city is at its most beautiful caked in snow. Of course, if you prefer it a little warmer, summer offers plenty of sunshine with temperatures consistently approaching 30°C.

The city sits in the so-called ‘Eastern Time Zone’ putting it at -5 (GMT) although the city uses a daylight saving system, between March and November when it’s at -4 (GMT).
