Introduction to Tunisair
Tunisair is the national airline of Tunesia in North Africa. Since its beginnings in 1948 Tunisair has steadily expanded its network and its fleet. Now the African airline operates scheduled and charter flights to more than 100 destinations mainly in Europe (22 cities in Germany alone), but also in Africa and the Middle East from the base in Tunis, Carthage International Airport. Tunisair was one of the first airlines to operate Airbus aircrafts and has since built a large fleet of them, and recently became one of the first in general, and the first in Africa, to order and operate the Airbus 319 Extended-Range. Additionally they use Boeing 737s, including the next generation Boeing 737-600. Tunisair is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization. The airline employs 11 Tunisian female pilots.
