UAE's Low-Cost Carrier
Air Arabia is the first and largest low-cost Arabian airline operating out of Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates. The company was founded in 2003 by royal decree of the Sultan of Sharjah to provide the people of the UAE with affordable access to the rest of the continent. The first flight flew from Sharjah to Bahrain on the 28th October 2003. Now the airline offers services to over 100 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe and flies millions of passengers annually.
In addition to providing affordable and comfortable air travel, Air Arabia is also committed to implementing a social responsibility program for its 2,500 employees and using a portion of their quarterly profits to provide housing and education to underprivileged communities. Currently, 55% of its shares are publicly owned.
Air Arabia has established joint ventures in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Nepal, either establishing partnerships with other airlines of purchasing shares with national carriers. With a fleet of 36 planes, the company operates Airbus A-320s, the world's best-selling commercial aircraft. With current annual profits and popularity continuing to rise, the airline's exceptional service and friendly hospitality are definitely paying off.
Flying with Air Arabia
The entire fleet of Airbuses are configured with a single economy class cabin seating 162 passengers, which offers great service and comfort at an affordable price. Pre-ordered meals are available when you book and Sky Café offers a range of food and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase in-flight. Please note the airline does not serve alcoholic drinks to any passengers. The in-flight entertainment systems offer a variety of TV shows, movies and music to make the time fly by. Their unique Fun Onboard system allows fun and interactive opportunities to make some new friends on your flight.

Passengers can check-in online 24 hours before departure, allowing you to skip the waiting in lines and stress of arriving in time.
Baggage
- Passengers are given the chance to only pay for the amount of luggage they need. When booking or modifying their details online, passengers can choose how much baggage they require (20, 30 or 40 kg). There is no limit on how many pieces you can purchase. There is no limit on how many pieces you can purchase. At the airport, the only baggage allowance available for purchase is 20 Kg.
- Hand luggage must be under 10 kg and less than 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
